HIGH TENSION COPPER CLAD ALUMINUM - HTCCA

General Description

ELEKTRISOLA high tension copper clad aluminum wire (HTCCAW) is a composite of an aluminum core with a concentric copper cladding. This material combination provides a wire with optimum properties of both metals. The aluminum core reduces the weight of the HTCCAW to almost that of pure aluminum wire. Furthermore, the copper cladding increases the conductivity and allows the same soldering process as is used for copper wire. The increased tensile strength, compared to normal CCA, reduces the probability for wire breaks during processind and increases the life time in the application.These properties provide a conductor optimal for high quality coils used in headphones, headsets, loudspeakers and many other applications where coil weight reduction is desired.
High tension copper clad aluminum wires are available with diameters from 0.025 mm to 0.500 mm (AWG 50 - 24) with all insulation and selfbonding enamel types. Bare wires are available upon request.
